Scottie Pippen lets fans book his suburban home for Olympic basketball nights – NBC Chicago
Forget your local sports bar: Chicago Bulls legend gives hoop fans a chance to watch Team USA men’s basketball team in a more spectacular way, offering his suburban home as AirBNB for the evenings monitoring during the next Olympic Games.
According to to a new announcement on the siteBulls legend and Dream Team star Scottie Pippen offers his guests the chance to watch the final three rounds of the Olympic tournament at his suburban home, complete with private screening room, basketball court indoor and outdoor pool.
Pippen will also host a virtual meet and greet with fans when they check in for their stay, according to the listing.
All of this can be yours for $ 92 a night, an award chosen to honor Pippen’s performance with the 1992 “Dream Team” that won Olympic gold in Barcelona.
“I invite basketball fans to my home in Chicago to relive one of the highlights of my career – competing in the 1992 Olympics,” Pippen said in the list. “I am delighted that you are cheering on the next generation of Olympians from my home field! “
According to the listing, basketball fans who book the house will be able to see memorabilia from Pippen’s Olympic trips, as well as items from the Team USA “Medal Stand” collection for guests to take home.
During the night, up to four people will be able to watch the Olympic competitions on television in Pippen’s private home cinema. In addition to the pool and basketball court, the house also has an arcade room and an indoor sauna.
Food, including Pippen’s favorite pre-game meal of steak, baked potatoes and asparagus, will also be served.
The three proposed dates coincide with the quarterfinals, semi-finals and gold medal matches in Tokyo on August 2, 4 and 6, respectively.
Fans will need to act quickly to reserve the space, however. Only one reservation is available for each day, and reservations will open at noon Central Time on July 22.
